LEED Platinum Building
343 Sansome was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design LEED Platinum Certification in 2010 by the U.S. Green Building Council in recognition of energy and environmental upgrades that now makes our building one of the country's most environmentally sustainable properties. 343 Sansome's LEED Platinum Certification is the result of a longstanding commitment to energy efficiency. In addition to energy efficiency, the building has incorporated a variety of other sustainable strategies such as using green cleaning products, and recycling and composting 65% of consumables that otherwise would have been sent to local landfills. We also purchased off-site renewable energy credits to offset 100% of purchased power for two years. 343 Sansome joins only 11 existing multi-tenant office buildings in San Francisco to qualify for LEED Platinum Certification, the highest rating possible. We are grateful for the outstanding efforts and dedication of the building management, engineers and tenants, and for the collaboration of the building vendors in making 343 Sansome one of the leaders in sustainability.
Energy Star Building
About Energy Star
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency voluntary program that helps businesses save money on energy and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency.
In 1992, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) introduced ENERGY STAR as a voluntary labeling program designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Through its partnerships with 18,000 private and public sector organizations, ENERGY STAR delivers the technical information and tools that organizations and consumers need to choose energy-efficient solutions and best management practices. ENERGY STAR has successfully delivered energy and cost savings across the country, saving businesses, organizations, and consumers $24 billion in 2012 alone. Over the past two decades, ENERGY STAR has been a driving force behind the more widespread use of such technological innovations as efficient fluorescent lighting, power management systems for office equipment, and low standby energy use.
343 Sansome is proud to continue our EPA's Energy Star Rating of 93. For more information go to EnergyStar.gov.
